I am a fine jewellery designer shaped by cross-cultural experience and a transition from analytical to creative disciplines. Born and educated in South Korea, I have lived and worked across Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea, and I am currently based in Milan, Italy. These diverse cultural contexts continue to inform and shape my design language. After 25 years in international banking in senior executive roles, I chose to pursue my long-standing passion for jewellery design. I completed a Diploma in Fine Jewelry Design at Jewelry Design Management International School in Singapore, and recently graduated from the Master in Fine Jewellery Design at Istituto Marangoni in Milan in March 2026. My work explores the intersection of cultures, translating diverse visual languages, materials, and forms into contemporary jewellery. Influenced by my geographical background, I approach design as a process of synthesis—negotiating contrast, tension, and fragile states of balance. My professional experience also informs a precise and economically aware approach to design, integrating creativity with technical feasibility and material sensitivity. In 2026, I was awarded the first prize of the fresh facet category in the Singapore Jewelry Design Award.
