The AQUILA ear parure is composed of three pieces worn across both ears in an asymmetrical way: a large ear cuff ascending from the lobe to the left helix, and, on the right, an oblique earring mirroring the jawline paired with a smaller cuff. The design's form and movement draw on the open wing of an eagle at the moment it takes flight to the sun — a figure of ascent, independence and courage. The feathers become indistinguishable from the rays of the sun, which the ancients held the eagle alone could look upon without burning its eyes.
